Annet Mahendru

Mahendru's parents were Russian as well as a Hindu Indian. She was born in Afghanistan. She is fluent in German Russian and English and is also fluent in French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru, born in India to an Indian father and a Russian father and an Indian mother, speaks fluently with both of the languages. An improvised performance she choreographed at the age of 11 that aired on German television, transformed her into a Russian dancer and snow maiden. After graduating of New York's top High School, she was awarded her bachelor's in English degree at St. John's University. After school she took acting classes at the HB studio but the left to study improvisation with The Groundlings School taking on several comedy shows afterward. The actress was born in Kabul Afghanistan, to Hindu-Indian Ghanshan Kenne Mahendru (father) as well as Russian Olga (mother). She moved from Afghanistan to East Meadow New York, along with her father, when she was 13 years old. She is a star along Matthew Rhys and Keri Russel in FX's The Americans. She is best known as the former KGB Agent Nina Sergeevna Krilova in FX's The Americans. She was a character who appeared on the Fox series The Following, and NBC's The Blacklist.
